Thoughts on Creating Music

It is a fascinating experience to me to create new music. Currently I am working on an Etude book for intermediate flute. This is a whole new experience at writing music for me in that I am focusing on the elements of the music itself. I still want it to be pretty and melodic, but I am also needing to limit the construction of each etude to a specific goal of technique.

The first one is done, and the second is on its way. I look forward to discovering what each new writing experience will bring.
